Introducing As Lanchiñas: A Culinary Gem in A Coruña
Nestled in the heart of A Coruña, As Lanchiñas offers an authentic taste of Galician home cooking that captivates both locals and visitors alike. Located at Rúa Nicomedes Pastor Díaz, 8, this charming eatery is not merely a restaurant; it’s a gastronomic experience enriched with warmth and hospitality.
The allure of As Lanchiñas lies in its commitment to freshness and the quality of its ingredients. The enthusiastic praise from patrons speaks volumes, as highlighted by Clark Gerardo Sanchez Lobo, who commended the fish soup for being “self-sufficient” and bursting with flavor. This dish reflects the mastery of blending traditional recipes with premium local seafood. For those seeking a taste of Galicia, the caldo gallego is a must-try; as noted by a satisfied customer, its hearty and comforting essence embodies the spirit of the region.
As you step inside, you’ll experience a well-curated menu that, while not extensive, offers a delightful selection sure to please every palate. Dishes like the delectable mussels, tender monkfish, and subtly flavored octopus showcase the restaurant’s commitment to quality seafood. A standout recommendation comes from Dios nos pille confesados, who reminisced about their unforgettable razor clams, affirming their position as some of the best around. Don’t skip on the cheesecake; it's described as a heavenly finale to a satisfying meal.
The ambiance at As Lanchiñas is just as inviting as the food. Customers like Ursula Stoiber have appreciated the attentive service, often mentioning how the friendly staff helps bridge language gaps with menus available in French and English. This attention to detail creates a welcoming space for everyone, making it a perfect setting for a meal with family or friends.
No review of As Lanchiñas would be complete without acknowledging its reasonable pricing. For informal dining that doesn’t compromise on quality, the value of their menu—touted by X. Ibáñez Martín at just 10 euros—is hard to beat.
If you find yourself in A Coruña, visiting As Lanchiñas promises not just a meal, but a comforting escape into the flavors of Galicia, all served with a sprinkle of homely charm. Come discover the delicious, wholesome food that has drawn locals like Martha Vazquez back time and again.

“ Great food. The fish soup is self-sufficient. Very tasty and fresh! I recommend it! ”
“ A very good caldo gallego. Very centric and a classic menu. ”
“ Great home made food!!! ”
“ We were looking for something tasty and edible and we found it here! Not a big menu, but also in French and English so you could somehow communicate, very nice service and absolutely delicious food. Above all, there were two plates for each course, which I found very accommodating as the staff assumed that we would eat everything together. We really enjoyed the mussels as a starter, the monkfish and the solomillo O pendulum and a house salad. Thank you! We would be happy to recommend you. (We sat outside, it's a bit easier and on the street, inside there is a real restaurant area, everything is clean and tidy.) And again: Very nice staff!!! ”
“ Excellent food and excellent people ”
